Cynthia Louise Bissett, vice president at Verizon Mobile. Her father was businessman Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. Director of a network company. Her family was in the elite Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan with an elitist Catholic family. This is why her parents enrolled her in the Convent of the Sacred Heart which is a prestigious and exclusive school. Her love of music began when she was a young toddler. She learned piano as a teenager and, when she was thirteen, wrote her first song. She participated in open-mic nights. Her most favored artists included David Bowie, Madonna and Queen Michael Jackson. After high school, she enrolled at New York University's Tisch School of Art to pursue a degree in music. She didn't complete her degree. Instead, she began the career path of a musician.
